Sony unveils new PlayStation
As part of the PlayStation Meeting 2016, Sony introduced two new PlayStation family consoles.
The first console is a smaller version of the original PlayStation 4. It did not get the name Slim, as mentioned earlier in the rumors. It is assumed that it will replace the old PS4 on store shelves. They ask for $299 for the novelty. Recall that at launch, the original “four” table is $399. The updated PS4 will be available on September 15.
The older model received the subtitle Pro. Its GPU is twice as powerful as that of the PlayStation 4, it has a 1TB hard drive, supports games and videos in 4K format, as well as the so-called HDR (increased brightness range). The console is backward compatible with all PS4 games. It will appear on the shelves on November 10 at a price of $ 399.
By the way, as part of the presentation, the gameplay of Mass Effect: Andromeda was demonstrated for the first time. Judging by the video, the game character has learned to jump, fly over obstacles, got a “detective” mode (as in Batman: Arkham Knight), and his companions in the manner of JRPG appear out of nowhere, as if the hero carries them in his pocket. However, considering that the project was demonstrated at the pre-alpha stage, everything can still change.
