Google Play has opened the acceptance of applications for features in the “Early Access” collection
Android apps that are in the open beta stage can now receive a feature on Google Play. The app store has launched a selection of Early Access specially for them.
Back this May, Google announced the initiative. At the same time, the company launched a selection with 29 pre-selected applications to see the reaction of users to the promotion of games that have not yet reached the official release.
The collection of applications “Early Access” has become a hit, – they write in the official developer Android blog. The first users enthusiastically shared high-quality feedback with the developers. In the month since the launch of the compilation, the total downloads of all applications in early access have reached the mark of 1 million.
Now Google Play offers all developers to get a place in “Early Access”. However, not everyone will be able to get into it. The decision on the placement of the game in the collection will be made by the editors of the mobile app store. To apply for a feature, you need to fill out this form.
“Early Access” will be updated weekly. Google writes about thousands of users who are ready to evaluate and test new original products.
The form itself notes that Google Play is looking for “only new apps and games (not updates or existing ones) trying new ideas.”
