Ratings: Top 10 most trending Steam games (12.08.2016)
About the most trending Steam games this week in our weekly report. This time the top is headed by Kingdom: New Lands, and we are sad about the poor sales of the excellent Tricky Towers.
Kingdom: New Lands
With the approval and on the SteamSpy database (Sergey Galenkin’s statistical service that collects a wide range of data from Steam) the site App2Top.ru continues to regularly analyze and publish the Top 10 trending games of the Valve digital distribution platform.
The top trending games on SteamSpy are formed not only based on sales, but also based on mentions of projects in the media and streaming services. Steam Spy shows data based on the last three days.
The current situation looks like this:
The New Lands update to the two-dimensional pixel strategy Kingdom almost immediately topped the top trending games on Steam. The new release, in fact, gave a second life to an indie game that had previously gained about 200 thousand copies sold.
ABZU from Matt Nava couldn’t resist the pixel fan base. A meditative project about sea voyages and ecology, which was gaining 10 thousand purchases a day for the first half of the week, lost pace by this weekend. Since the release on August 2, almost 60 thousand people have bought the game.

Let’s pay attention again to the domestic development of Half Dead, an interview with whose team we published yesterday.
The project has been almost not growing in terms of sales lately, having been fixed at around 62 thousand, but, apparently, it still arouses keen interest among streamers. It is difficult for others to explain his position in the trending top.
Of the newcomers in the top, only Tricky Towers is a multiplayer variation of Tetris with support for playing on one computer. The game was released on August 2. Despite the warm welcome of the players, the game still has less than 5 thousand purchases. Perhaps the reason for this is the relatively high price for a project with such mechanics.

We would also like to mention those projects that did not make it into the top ten, but have recently been released on Steam.
The number of purchases by the Belarusian This Is the Police has almost reached the 50 thousandth mark at a price of $14.99. The much more hyped and expected Batman – The Telltale Series has reached similar figures over the same period at a price of $24.99. If the game had no optimization problems, it is possible that the indicators would have been higher. The cute metroid platformer Song of the Deep, released much earlier – back in July, so far shows not so good result – 10 thousand copies. But everything is not bad at Montaro, a game about a dog that hunts for schoolgirls’ panties. An endless and very simple runner with a high rating of 93% has 50 thousand sales for a dollar each.
