Sony is going to transfer PlayStation titles to mobile platforms
The Japanese company Sony Computer Entertainment is creating a new game company ForwardWorks, which will develop mobile games based on projects for the PlayStation console. What kind of titles will they be, when to wait for them, is the company going to only make games “based on motives” or will it also take up porting?
There is no answer to all these questions yet. It is only known that future games are designed primarily for users of Japan and Asia. The president of the company, which will begin its work on April 1, will be Atsushi Morita, who is also the president and CEO of the Japanese division of SCE.
The announcement took place just against the backdrop of the Japanese release of the first Nintendo application — the social game Miitomo, which allows users to create their own avatars, dress them up, and also use them to interact with other users of the application.
It is possible that soon the competition between Japanese consoles will move to mobile platforms.
Sony has previously tried to transfer PlayStation titles to mobile.
Closed a year ago, the PlayStation Mobile program allowed you to create cross-platform projects for PSN, working on both Vita and a limited number of Sony smartphones.
