Salix Games and Liquid Crimson are set to organize a spooky tabletop RPG stream in support of SpecialEffect

UK-based Salix Games is collaborating with creative firm Liquid Crimson to host "Overdue Exorcism," a unique live tabletop RPG performance designed to benefit the charity organization SpecialEffect. This exclusive event is scheduled for a single night on October 3, 2025.

The charity stream will be conducted under the guidance of Natalie Winter, a game master known for her voice roles as Nambi Ghimi in "Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga" and Alice Blague in "Astrologaster." Joining her will be prominent voice actors such as Billie Fulford-Brown (Sophie in "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33"), Dave Jones (Halsin in "Baldur's Gate 3"), Kathryn Vinclaire (with credits in "Conan Exiles" and "Warhammer Soul Arena"), and Kit Harrison (Sawada in "Genshin Impact"). Special guest appearances are also anticipated.

Aiming to raise £10,000, the event will be live-streamed on SpecialEffect's Twitch channel from 6 PM to 10 PM BST. Viewers will have the opportunity to unlock various fundraising milestones that oblige the cast to perform unexpected acts like adopting unusual accents, engaging in musical segments, or swapping possessions.

The event offers interactive elements for viewers, allowing them to instigate challenges, such as "chilli-chocolate roulette" or prompting a dance-off, as well as directing actors to read poetry while staying in character.

Lauran Carter, communications director at Liquid Crimson, expressed excitement about the event, describing it as "theater meets games meets rock show" aimed at supporting SpecialEffect.

"Overdue Exorcism" is included in the broader One Special Day initiative by SpecialEffect, which is committed to improving accessibility for physically disabled gamers. Alongside the stream, a 25km fundraising walk across Greater London, from the London Stadium to Wembley, will occur the same day. Additionally, a Steam sale will be held from September 11 to September 18, 2025.

This marks the ninth year of the One Special Day initiative, which previously raised over £600,000. Paige Harvey, gaming community manager at SpecialEffect, expressed gratitude for the engagement and anticipated the event as a remarkable success for the charity’s mission.
