Salix Games and Liquid Crimson are set to present a chilling tabletop RPG stream to support SpecialEffect

Salix Games, a UK-based development studio, is collaborating with the creative agency Liquid Crimson for a special event called Overdue Exorcism. This one-time live tabletop RPG performance is organized to raise funds for the charity SpecialEffect.

Scheduled for October 3, 2025, the Overdue Exorcism event will be directed by game master Natalie Walker, known for her voice roles in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Astrologaster. A lineup of notable voice talents will participate, including Billie Fulford-Brown, Dave Jones, Kathyrn Vinclaire, and Kit Harrison. Additional surprise guests will make appearances.

The goal for this charity stream is to raise £10,000. The event can be viewed on SpecialEffect's Twitch channel, running from 6 pm to 10 pm BST on October 3, 2025.

Viewers can contribute to achieving various fundraising milestones which will involve entertaining challenges such as accents, musical segments, and surprising role swaps for the participants. Fans can also engage with interactive perks like a chili-chocolate game, dance challenges, or have actors perform poetry in unique styles directly to the camera.

Lauran Carter, communications director at Liquid Crimson, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, "We're not here to play it safe - we're here to summon ghosts, break rules and blow the doors off tabletop streaming. It's theatre meets games meets rock show - and it's all for SpecialEffect!"

On October 3, another event, the One Special Walk, will occur, inviting participants to trek 25 kilometers from London's stadium to Wembley. Additionally, a Steam sale will run from September 11 to September 18, 2025.

This marks the ninth year of the One Special Day event. Last year, the initiative successfully generated over £600,000 in support.

Paige Harvey, the gaming community manager at SpecialEffect, shared her excitement, saying, "We couldn't be more thankful for everyone who has put their time into this incredible stream, and we can't wait to see what shenanigans take place on October 3 as part of One Special Day in support of our work! In our eyes, this event is already a natural 20!"
