Gaming quality assurance leader TestFly has announced the acquisition of Red Cerberus, a Brazilian testing firm formerly owned by tinyBuild.
Though TestFly did not disclose the acquisition details, reports suggest the transaction involved a $1.5 million cash payment. By acquiring Red Cerberus, TestFly aims to enhance its offerings with the addition of 180 experienced staff and advanced testing facilities.
The merger aims to deliver improved automation and continuous testing capabilities through a global follow-the-sun model, covering platforms like console, PC, and mobile, according to TestFly.
Red Cerberus confirmed that the integration with TestFly is progressing smoothly, ensuring that services to clients and employees remain uninterrupted.
Kevin Chelius, TestFly's CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, noting that Red Cerberus's expertise and standing complement TestFly’s goals of innovating game testing.
This move is seen as a strategic expansion into Latin America, reinforcing TestFly's mission to support developers and publishers in delivering top-notch gaming experiences worldwide.
Alex Nichiporchik, CEO of tinyBuild, remarked that selling Red Cerberus is a strategic step in refining the company’s direction towards developing and nurturing intellectual properties.
