The goal of the collaboration is to complete the game in such a way that it “attracts a wide audience,” according to Python. The publishing agreement with the authors of Puzzle & Dragons is part of the indie team’s plan to enter the global market.

Kazuki Morishita, CEO of GungHo, noted that the companies have not yet decided which market the final product will be intended for – only for the western or for the eastern, too.

Details of the deal have not yet been disclosed, but it is known that Python will remain the leading role in the project. He has previously worked on projects such as Metal Gear Solid 3 and 4, as well as Halo 4.

The game République appears in access by episodes. The project was originally created for mobile, and only later it was ported to PC. The title was launched with the help of a campaign on the Kickstarter crowdfunding service.
