Playphone store will be pre-installed on devices with Cyanogen OS
Cyanogen, the author of the firmware for Android OS devices called CyanogenMod, has entered into a partnership agreement with the social gaming network Playphone.
As a result of the transaction, the Playphone store will be pre-installed on smartphones with Cyanogen OS.
Playphone is both a social network and a gaming store with its own showcase. It also acts as a publishing platform.
Cyanogen also supplies CyanogenMod firmware for smartphones running Android. In addition, the company releases Cyanogen OS. Firmware and OS are used in more than 190 countries around the world. It has gained particular popularity in China and in emerging markets – for example, in Indonesia and Singapore.
Thus, through the deal, Playphone gets access to the entire audience of Cyanogen OS. And users of devices with the mentioned firmware have access to store games.
Recall that at the end of 2014, GungHo acquired a 70% stake in Playphone.
