The amount of investments is not called. Resource Pocketgamer.biz assumes that we are talking about several million dollars. It is known that among the investors are KLab Global and the venture fund of GREE.

The funds will be used to increase the reach of the target audience of Yoyo Holdings – the population of developing countries in Southeast Asia. In particular, these will be rural regions. The company’s services there are currently inaccessible.

“Even Facebook has developed a special mobile application for rural areas where there is no broadband network. We are going to do the same and create a solution that suits our target audience,” said Yoshike Fukada, co-founder and CEO of Yoyo Holdings.

Another goal of Yoyo Holdings is to get into the Indian market. The company plans to reach it by the end of this year.

Yoyo Holdings is the creator of the Candy mobile rewards platform. Its users perform various tasks (take surveys, download applications, etc.) and receive prepaid phone credits for this, which can be spent on calls or on the Internet. The service is primarily focused on those areas where access to the network, as well as access to banking services, is difficult or limited.

In 2014, the company has already received $1.3 million for development from GREE, CyberAgent Ventures and Incubate Fund.
