Interview: Creative Mobile has published the iOS version of Nitro Nation Online

Almost a year after the release of Nitro Nation Online, the iOS version of the game was released on Android. How much the game has changed during this time and why it was not released immediately, – App2Top.ru I asked the Creative Mobile team.

Hi! The first question begs itself: why did it take so long to port the game (on Android Nitro Nation Online was released back in April 2014)?

Hi! And we, in fact, haven’t been porting all this time. It took us a little more than a month to get to the port. It’s just that we were all waiting for the moment when the parameters of player retention, monetization and game balance would become optimal for us.

You can go to Google Play and gradually improve the game. The release can be a kind of soft launch. But the release on iOS is, as a rule, one shot: if you don’t get into the tops right away, then it will be much more difficult to do it.

At the end of March, we saw new metrics and realized that it was time. Now, after, say, a month, the game is in a state when it is balanced, when it is interesting to play.

What were the difficulties when porting?

The difficulties were mainly of a technical nature: different proportions of screens, a mandatory requirement to support 64-bit systems. Not all of our components have been optimized for this.

How has the game changed in a year? How does the Android version of 2014 differ from the iOS version of 2015?

These are almost two different products. The UI and music design have changed radically. Also, intelligible tutorials appeared in the game, a good half of the events were added (underground, team races, etc.), the game balance changed almost beyond recognition, a good half of the tracks were added. In short, the game has turned from a public beta into a commercially successful product.

What about the indicators of the Android version, how much have they changed?

During the year, the average session length increased by 50%, the number of sessions per player per month increased by 2 times (from 5 to 11), LTV increased by more than 5 times. In total, users of the Android version have played 1067 years in a year.

Did you get into the tops?

In 10 countries, the game rose to first place in the Racing category. In the USA, they reached the second position in this category. In the top of all applications in the USA, we reached the 29th place.
