Glu Mobile has earned $70 million on its games in three months
The American publisher and developer Glu Mobile reported for the first fiscal quarter of 2015. The company’s revenue reached $69.5 million and increased by 56% compared to the beginning of 2014.
The company’s first financial quarter ended on March 31 and was quite successful: net profit amounted to $1.1 million. This is less than in the last quarter of 2014, but many times more than at the beginning of last year. Then this amount was equal to $ 100 thousand.
The company’s assets in cash and cash equivalents for the first quarter of 2015 are estimated at $65.7 million.
Glu Mobile still owes the lion’s share of sales to its hit – Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. In 2014, the game brought her 31% of all revenue (non-GAAP).
Other titles of the company also played a role in the growth of financial indicators – Racing Rivals, Deer Hunter 2014 and Contract Killer: Sniper.
Representatives of Glu Mobile said that the expected revenue (non-GAAP) in 2015 could reach $262-287 million. The profit should be from $25.3 million to $30.3 million.
Considering that the performance of the title game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood has begun to decline, it can be assumed that Glu Mobile is pinning its hopes on titles that are still being prepared for release in 2015. These are games that, following the example of the company’s most successful project, beat the life of the stars – a title about the Kardashian sisters (Kardashian) and singer Katy Perry (Katy Perry).
