Google will promote "family" games
Google has introduced a new program called Designed for Families. With its help, developers will be able to promote “family-friendly” games and applications.
The program is designed for projects that have no age restrictions or that have minimal ones. Google Play will launch a special promotion that will help them reach the consumer. Preference will be given to those games and applications that are designed for children or that can be played with the whole family.
To get into the program, the project must meet a number of strict requirements listed below. Google Play representatives reserve the right to remove those games or applications that do not correspond to them.
Selection criteria
1. The application must have an age limit of “For all” or “10+” (according to the ESRB classification) or similar.
2. If the application contains advertising, you must confirm the following:
2.1 Advertising does not violate child protection laws.
2.2 Remarketing and advertising based on user interests are blocked in ads that children see.
2.3 Advertising corresponds to the stated age limit of the application.
2.4 The ads meet the advertising requirements for the Designed for Families program.
3. When filling out the questionnaire to set the age limit, you must specify all interactive advertising elements in the application that can:
3.1 exchange data with the user;
3.2 transfer user data to third parties;
3.3 transfer information about the user’s location to third parties.
4. You cannot use Google+ and Google Play game services to log in to apps designed for children.
