Chillingo has opened a studio in China
Mobile game publisher Chillingo today announced the opening of its own Chinese division within the Shanghai office of Electronic Arts.
The main task of Chillingo China will be to find promising teams in the Middle Kingdom and help them release the product to the local market. The company will also be engaged in their “culturalization” for the world market.
The first partner Chillingo China will become a Tianjin studio Happy Fish Games, well known for the Iron Force project. She will release her next game in China this year with Chillingo China.

Chillingo is one of the most famous mobile publishers of the “first wave”, famous for the successful releases of the original versions of Angry Birds and Cut the Rope. After them, in 2010 Chillingo was acquired by EA for $20 million.
