Industry veterans from Halfbrick create their own studio
Halfbrick’s leading employees left the company for their own startup.
The new studio is called Prettygreat. Its creators are Phil Larsen, who was previously marketing director at Halfbrick, and creative director Luke Muscat, who created Fruit Ninja, Monster dash and Jetpack Joyride. The art director and technical director will be Hugh Walters, who previously was also the art director at Halfbrick.
According to Phil Larsen, they are going to make “high-quality games with a clear artistic message.”
Recall that over the past few months, Halfbrick, the company that created Fruit Ninja, Monster Dash, Jetpack Joyride, has already left several employees. They also founded their own studio Protostar and released the game Checkpoint Champion.
