Wooga bets on hidden object
German publisher and developer Wooga has announced a game called Agent Alice in the hidden object genre. The title will be released on iOS and Android on February 26, – the Venturebeat resource reports.
Usually games of this genre are released on Facebook, but they do not have success on mobile platforms. Wooga is sure that this is due to the fact that the gameplay is not adapted to mobile devices. The company’s management believes that they managed to solve the management issue in Agent Alice.
The plot of the title is built around the adventures of detective Alice Wallace, who investigates murders and other crimes for the Agency.
At the time of launch, the game will have eight episodes, and a new one will be released every Friday. Theoretically, according to the Wooga management, such a game can be played for years.
The target audience of the game is adult women.
“She [the game] is for adult women. Not enough attention is paid to this audience. They mostly play puzzles on mobile devices, and we can offer them something more,” said Jens Begemann, executive director of the Berlin branch of Wooga.”
VENTUREBEAT.COMWooga already has experience in the hidden object genre.
The social game Pearl’s Peril was released in September 2013 and has become one of the company’s most successful games on Facebook. In the year since its release, it has acquired 15 million installations on the social network and visited the top in four countries. The company calls Agent Alice a kind of sequel to Pearl’s Peril and hopes that the new title will repeat the success of the previous one.
