In 2014, mobile games earned $5.2 billion in the United States
In the US, the annual revenue of mobile entertainment has almost equaled the local box office, reaching $9.14 billion, – the analytical and consulting firm SNL Kagan has calculated.
Of the above-mentioned $9.14 billion, 57% (or $5.2 billion) fell on mobile games. The remaining 43% shared video, music and location services. For reference, the total annual revenue of American cinemas from tickets, as a rule, revolves around the $10 billion mark.
