YouTube: Women are more interested in gaming videos than men
Women spend more time watching game videos than men, says Gautam Ramdurai, an official Google blogger, on his blog.
In addition, women over 25 are the fastest growing audience of gaming videos.
Such statistics do not stand out from the general industry: women love games no less than men — mobile, console and PC. According to a study conducted by ESA last April, the number of women over 25 among gamers is almost equal to the number of men of the same age: 48% versus 52%.
Interestingly, among the younger audience, the power ratio is quite different: women over 18 play games more than their male peers.
Thus, according to ESA, it is no longer necessary to talk about a "typical gamer" — stereotypical thinking in the industry is outdated.
