The audience of mobile games is getting younger
The average age of a mobile player is 27.7 years, which is exactly one year less than last year, according to the analytical service EEDAR.
The audience is not only getting younger, it is getting bigger, according to a study conducted by EEDAR among 3,500 mobile device users.
In addition, it turned out that almost 50% of respondents do not pay for games. Only 3% of respondents (6% of the total number of payers) are responsible for half of the revenue from games. According to the study, among the "hardcore" players, the most users are willing to pay. They are more inclined to create oral advertising for the game.
"The social features of the game should be created with such [hardcore] players in mind," the report says.
However, it does not follow from the data obtained that console games are under threat. Hardcore players use mobile titles to "enrich the experience they get from other platforms,— explains EEDAR.
The number of women exceeds the number of male players, 56% of the total. However, EEDAR notes that men are more likely to spend money on games and in-game purchases.
Let's add that we will analyze the report in more detail later.
