During the study, it became known that women prefer RPG and PC games, including social ones. Men predominate among fans of MMO and first-person shooters.
The statistics were distributed as follows:
- of the total number of players, 57.8% are women, 42.2% are men;
- PC games, including social games — 50.1% of women, 49.9% of men;
- First—person shooters - 66% of men, 34% of women;
- RPG: 53.6% female, 46.5% male;
- casinos/social games — 53.6% of women, 46.5% of men;
- mobile games — 57.8% of women, 42.2% of men;
- Mobile casino: 55.3% of women, 44.8% of men;
- Casino on a tablet: 59.5% of women, 40.5% of men;
- Console games: 63% male, 37% female.
The data was obtained during the study of the American market of MMO games. The survey was conducted in 2014 among 1,000 respondents aged 18 and over. Such a study was carried out by the company for the first time, so there is no way to compare the statistics obtained with data from the previous time period.
