Revenues from mobile games in 2014 will reach $25 billion
Global revenues of mobile games for the current year will grow by 42% and amount to $25 billion, – Newzoo company reports in its latest report.
The North American mobile games market will grow by 51% by the end of 2014, the Western European market – by 47%. The most dynamic market will remain the market of Southeast Asia and China. It will grow by 86%.
Among the growth drivers: organic and cannibalistic growth (at the expense of other segments of the gaming industry).
Newzoo believes that at such a pace, the mobile games market is on the way to surpass the console market in revenue. It is quite possible that this will happen next year.
The official publication of these forecasts demonstrates that in recent months the mobile games market has become increasingly saturated in the West, and especially in the United States.
