On the eve of the project based on the "Game of Thrones", Telltale Games changed the screenwriter
“I'm leaving to avoid spoilers for Game of Thrones,— Dave Grossman, a former Telltale Games screenwriter, jokes on Twitter. In his place, the company has already invited Joshua Rubin, who previously collaborated as a writer with Bungie on the Destiny project.

Dave Grossman has been working at Telltale Games as a screenwriter for several years. His track record is impressive: he started with Tim Schafer in 1993 on the project Maniac Mansion II: Day of the Tentacle, and then wrote scripts for The Secret of Monkey Island from LucasArt. In 2009, Telltale released the sequel The Tales of Monkey Island. On this project, Grossman became first the head of the design department, and then the senior editor. He does not disclose the reasons for his departure from Telltale Games; it is also unknown what he is going to work on. So far, Grossman has intrigued fans on Twitter with hints about his future projects and advises them to follow the news.
A holy place is never empty: to work on a project based on the "Game of Thrones", Telltale Games hired screenwriter Joshua Rubin, who worked with Bungie on the game Destiny, and also participated in the creation of Assassin Creed 2. It seems to us that he is in no way inferior to his predecessor. Joshua Rubin has more than ten years of work on films and TV. He was involved in the creation of games such as Destiny and Assassin's Creed 2, and collaborated as a lead screenwriter with EA and Capcom. Joshua Rubin's screenplay for Assassin's Creed 2 was nominated for the WGA, AIAS and BAFTA Awards in the Best Screenplay category.
Joshua Rubin said in an interview for Gamasutra that he "just couldn't miss this opportunity." It seems that the screenwriter is full of enthusiasm: he has already promised his Twitter followers to give their best in working on the project, and on his Linkedin page he boldly declares: “Game of Thrones, suckers!".
