SponsorPay and HasOffers simultaneously announced a name change and rebranding
Two major players in the mobile advertising market — SponsorPay and HasOffers – announced yesterday that they are changing their names. SponsorPay will now be called Fyber, and HasOffers will be called Tune.
According to the official version, SponsorPay has rebranded due to the fact that the old name is associated only with the advertising grid, while at the moment it is already a full-fledged advertising platform that allows campaign optimization, targeting and so on.
The story with HasOffers is a little more confusing. Pete Hamilton, CEO of the company, told VentureBeat that users were confused by the presence of two large analytical products at once, HasOffers and MobileAppTracking, one of which was named the same as the parent company. For this reason, the latter was renamed Tune.
We also asked Anar Babayev, Head of the marketing department of the automated application promotion service, to comment on the rebranding of the companies AppInTop.com .

In short, the market is still too young, immature. Business models die off in six months. Therefore, a different name is needed, because the audience has already formed certain associations with the product. For example, HasOffers had a bad business model, they are changing it, but people continue to associate the company with its failures.
