Developers of the new MOBA for "tablets" raised $15 million

Vain Glory

Super Evil Megacorp studio, headed by Kristian Segerstrale, who successfully sold half of Supercell to the Japanese from GungHo, as well as the co-founder of Glu Mobile and Playfish, announced MOBA for mobile platforms and announced that it had raised $15 million in investments.

The second round has just closed. It was led by General Catalyst. The transfer amount was $11.6 million. It is curious that it turned out to be possible to attract so much money only after Zegerstrale joined the team, and this happened just a couple of months ago.

Super Evil Megacorp positions itself as a team creating mobile games for hardcore gamers. It employs former employees of Blizzard, Riot, Rockstar and Guerrilla Games. The team's first product will be a MOBA for tablets — Vain Glory. Its developers are confident that the game will attract fans of League of Legends and Dota 2, whose total MAU is about 75 million.
