Apple has started publishing a selection of the best apps for the month
On the first of May, a selection of the Best of April appeared in the App Store. As you might guess, the best applications of the past month were included in it according to the editorial board of the Apple mobile app store.
The selection itself is divided into three sub-assemblies in the USA and Canada ("best game and best app of the month" (Best App & Game), "great Games" (Great Games) and "great Apps" (Amazing Apps)), and two sub-assemblies in all others, including Russian ("great games" and "great apps").
In the United States, last month's best iPhone game, according to Apple, was Leo's Fortune, and the best app was NYT Now. Last month's best iPad game was Hearthstone, and Comedy Central was the best app.
Curiously, other leaders in the Canadian store are Monument Valley and Baby Bundle.
As for the applications included in the "great games" and "great apps", they differ significantly from region to region. As we understand it, the applications that were installed during the month by Apple in a particular country got into the sub-assemblies. .
Our colleagues from Western publications believe that the selection will become a monthly one. However, it is not entirely clear whether the Best App & Game will appear outside of North America in the future.
