Android is catching up with desktop Windows 7
The average daily number of Russian users accessing the Runet from Android devices in April came close to the number of users using a Windows 7-based personal computer for this purpose.
We came to this conclusion after studying the statistics liveinternet.ru limited by the criterion "visitors from Russia". According to the service, the average daily number of Russian visitors to the Runet in April amounted to 82.7 million people.
34.9% (about 28.8 million people) of them used a Windows 7-based PC to access the Network. But, attention, 26.7% (about 22 million people) of users access the Runet from Android devices.
For comparison, for Windows XP – 11.5% (9.4 million), for Windows 8 – 5.7% (4.5 million), and for iOS – 12.8% (about 11 million).
