Square Enix closes its Indian division
A year after the studio opened in India, the Japanese gaming giant is disbanding it. The same fate is likely to befall the Square Enix office in Latin America.
During the year of its existence, Square Enix India has not managed to release a single project. Perhaps this is the main reason for the closure of the studio. Another reason may be the slow growth of the local market, the volume of which does not exceed $100 million yet. Initially, it was assumed that the studio would create projects for the Indian market.
