Kongregate has released a mobile game based on Game of Thrones

Following the release of the browser strategy Game of Thrones: Ascent on Facebook, Kongregate launched the game on the App Store.

One of the best ways to launch a mobile game is, of course, a release under one or another high–profile brand. The IP, beloved by many, consistently provides traffic. This approach works both if the final product is aimed at a wide audience, and if the game is a niche solution. We can safely say this, starting from the experience of Kabam, which successfully released The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth and Fast & Furious 6: The Game.

Something similar is currently being implemented by Kongregate. Her latest release on iPad is the hardcore browser strategy Game of Thrones: Ascent, whose action takes place in the universe of George Martin’s saga “A Song of Ice and Fire”, more precisely, its serial adaptation.

The original project was released as a browser game by the Boston studio Disruptor Beam last year. At the same time, the game appeared on the Kongregate portal and on the Facebook social network, where its DAU currently stands at about 30 thousand.

Apparently, given the successful launch of the project on the Zuckerberg network, as well as the numerous awards that Game of Thrones was awarded, Kongregate decided to try to release it on the mobile market as well.

The differences between Game of Thrones and the Facebook version are only in interface solutions, otherwise the projects are identical. Users who have already played the game on PC can link the mobile version account to the desktop version.
