Flurry: launching mobile games in 2013 became much more frequent

The average number of gaming sessions per mobile device increased by 66% over the year, according to Flurry analysts. However, in terms of growth rates, they have seriously lagged behind the dynamics of the market as a whole.

In total, the number of mobile sessions (aka usage, by which Flurry means launching an application and performing certain actions in it) increased by 115% in 2013.

Such rapid growth was due to the rapid expansion of mobile and social applications (an increase in the number of sessions – 203%) and useful utilities like Evernote and Quip (an increase in the number of sessions by 149%).

Yes, on December 31, 2013, Flurry recorded 4.7 billion mobile sessions. A big number, which will only get bigger this year.
