Nokia has introduced a new line of devices

Today in Abu Dhabi, the Finnish giant presented its own tablet for five minutes to dead Windows RT 8.1, as well as several new smartphones and phones.

The global tablet market is growing due to an increase in the share of budget seven-inch Android devices. Nokia, as always, is out of global trends. At its own event in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, the company showed a 10.1-inch tablet for $499 on a system that most vendors have already refused to work with this year.

The device is called Lumia 2520. It supports 4G networks, Full HD resolution (which is actually a bit for such a large device) and is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. They say that if you buy a keyboard with it, then the tablet will last 16 hours without charging.

Nokia also showed its tablet phones – two giant 6-inch devices. Unfortunately, they also only work on Windows Phone.

The first one – Lumia 1520 – is offered to be purchased for $ 749. Its main feature is a 20 megapixel camera and the same powerful processor as the tablet.

The second one – Lumia 1320 – is much cheaper. In the US, without a contract, its cost will be only $339. However, for this price it will be possible to purchase a device with only 8 GB of memory. The main disadvantage of a pretty nice device is a weak 5 MP camera.

Who needs Windows Phone devices today, even if it’s already with Instagram, about the imminent launch of which under WP became known at today’s event, and Temple Run 2, we have no idea. So it’s quite possible that today’s presentation is Nokia’s swan song.

By the way, Nokia also showed touch phones Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503. The price range is from $69 to $99. All promise the presence of WhatsApp. The funny thing is that only these devices are of interest: cute design, funny price, lack of Windows Phone.
