Tango has accepted a former Zynga executive into its ranks

Former Zynga employee Todd Arnold has become the head of the growing games division of Tango, a mobile messaging service.

At Zynga, Arnold led a division that had 600 employees and was responsible for the company’s key brand – Ville, under which successful social titles were released, for example, Farmville.

From now on, Arnold will help developers promote games using the application responsible for mobile communications in the United States. Obviously, Tango aims to repeat the success of such Asian platforms as LINE and Kakao.

“The thing that makes me most happy about the transition to Tango is that now I have the opportunity to introduce games to completely new audiences of people through a social platform, as it was in those days when novice gamers found games on social networks like Facebook,” Arnold said, taking the cozy chair of the vice president of games.

Recently, Tango announced a deal with Gameloft, now casual games of the latter can be launched through a messaging application.

Since the Tango messenger was opened to game developers, the application has provided access to 16 titles from 12 companies, and the number of registered users of the service has exceeded 150 million.
