Stardock has opened a division of Stardock Mobile
The American company Stardock has announced the opening of Stardock Mobile. The new division will create original games for mobile platforms. This is told by the industrial portal GamesIndustry International.
The first project of Stardock Mobile will be Dead Man’s Draw for iOS. The product combines elements of strategy and a card game. The entertainment is optimized for short sessions, but at the same time offers a huge scope for tactics and strategic decisions. The new product will be on sale in October.
In addition, the company is engaged in two more games: sidescroller Hero Busters and space strategy Star Trails (in the picture above). Both projects will debut in early 2014.
Hero BustersChris Bray, who participated in the development of Sins of a Solar Empire, became the senior producer of Stardock Mobile.
Derek Paxton became the director of the division. He started his career in game development by creating mods for ivilization 4, but later moved to Stardock. Under his leadership, Elemental: Fallen Enchantress was released.
Many large publishers have long shown interest in the mobile segment. Even Blizzard is going to adapt the Hearthstone card F 2 P project for iPad. Therefore, there is nothing surprising in the fact that companies of a slightly smaller caliber are also beginning to explore a new market for themselves.
