FlashGamm was renamed to DevGAMM
The FlashGamm international conference, held by Absolutist twice a year in Kiev and Moscow, has a new name and a new organizer.
Now the conference is called DevGAMM. Its new owner is the publisher Renatus Media (Slots Journey, I Need a Hero, Bubble Origins).
Why Absolutist sold Renatus Media one of the largest and most successful conferences in the CIS is unknown. According to Valeria Mallaeva, executive director of DevGAMM, the involvement of an American company in the organization will allow the conference to reach a new level. In the existing format, it is “cramped”.
As for the name change, in our opinion, it was time to do it a long time ago. More than a year has passed since Adobe abandoned Flash Player support in Android, Apple has never supported this technology, and a couple of months ago Unity refused to work in this direction.
Together with the replacement of the organizer and the name, it is expected to change the “balance of reports of developers and marketers in favor of the former.” DevGAMM management promises that there will be much more speeches on development now.
DevGAMM will be held in Kiev on December 7-8, 2013. Registration for it has already begun.
