Konami to Release Star Wars Butler

Yesterday, the Japanese publisher Konami announced a card collectible game Star Wars: Force Collection for iOS and Android devices. It will appear on both platforms simultaneously – on September 4.

The upcoming release is just in the spirit of the new strategy of the owner of the Star Wars franchise – the Disney company. The strategy boils down, we recall, to the rejection of the development of projects “based on motives” in internal studios.

For Komani, who does not feel very confident in the mobile market yet, Star Wars: Force Collection is something like a winning ticket, which, theoretically, can take her to the mobile Olympus (the audience of “Star Wars” fans is extensive and, as you know, is ready to download and buy almost everything created by based on the space saga).

According to Dean Takahashi from GamesBeat, Star Wars: Force Collection is a classic butler: in PvE mode we pump a basic deck of cards, in PvP we compete with real rivals with it.

The key difference between Force Collection and most of the card collectible games known in the West is the combat system, reminiscent of the classic series of turn-based fantasy strategies Disciples.

The system looks something like this: there is a playing field on which units are arranged in rows (in this case, cards).

They cannot move around the field, they attack in turn. The first nuance is that melee units, usually located in the vanguard, can only attack the opponent closest to them, and shooters can attack anyone on the field. The second nuance is that the most powerful fighters occupy more free cells than ordinary units.

In Japan, this scheme is just beginning to gain popularity. But, by the way, apart from GUNDAM AREAWARS, there were no more games with such a fight in the box office tops of the Land of the Rising Sun

The Star Wars: Force Collection will feature heroes and characters from all six episodes of Star Wars.
