Capcom is actively going to mobile

Capcom yesterday announced a whole line of games for mobile platforms. They promised projects under such major brands as Monster Hunter, Street Fighter and Breath of Fire.

The Japanese company Capcom considers the mobile games market a gold mine. It is difficult for others to explain the announcement of six high-profile titles for iOS and Android at once. However, it is not a fact that at least one of them will go beyond the Japanese market. At the moment, the company is considering only the possibility of their release on the American and European markets.

The central place among the announced titles is occupied by: Monster Hunter Big Hunting Quest (apparently, the mobile version of the popular console role-playing slasher), Street Fighter Battle Combination (a card battler in the universe of the cult fighting game) and Breath of Fire 6 (jRPG). In the latter case, the following is noteworthy: the sixth part of the role-playing game is currently announced only for iOS and Android. Previously, the first games in the series appeared on consoles.

The full list of announced titles looks like this:

  • Street Fighter Battle Combination (iOS/Android)
  • Monster Hunter Big Hunting Quest (iOS/Android)
  • Street Fighter x All Capcom (iOS/Android)
  • Monhun Everyday Airu Life (iOS)
  • Frontier of Discovery (iOS/Android)
  • Codename: Rio (iOS/Android)
