More than 1.5 million copies of Sword & Sworcery have been sold

Capy Games has published data on the distribution of sales of its cross-platform hit by device types and prices.

According to critics, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP by Capybara Games has almost become a hit. And so the developer posted graphs on his website that give an idea not only about the success of the game, but also about where and how it achieved it.

According to the company, Sword & Sworcery has been sold more than 1.5 million times since March 2011, when it was launched as an iPad game. Then it was adapted for iPhone, Android, PC, Mac and Linux.

The original platform turned out to be the most profitable for Capy: iOS brought 55% of revenue. The game was included three times in the Humble Bundle kits distributed on the principle of “pay as much as you want”, sales of which amounted to 20% of revenue, while Steam added another 19% to them. In addition, 5% brought sales on Google Play, despite the fact that the game appeared there only at the very end of 2012.

Capy also cited the ratio of sales at a reduced and full price. It turned out that Apple users are most inclined to purchase the game at a nominal price of $ 5, which is how much 86% of buyers paid. The initial cost of Sword & Sworcery on Steam was $ 8, and then there was an opportunity to purchase the game with a 50% discount. Google Play users turned out to be more economical, only 23% of people purchased the game at a nominal value of $5.
