Gameloft celebrates 10 million likes on Facebook

Gameloft publishing house announced its social successes: its page was “liked” by 10 million users. It also turned out exactly how many people in the company work with the gaming community.

One of the most important sources of traffic for mobile games today is Facebook. It is used as an advertising platform, as word of mouth and even as a news portal.

For many companies, Zuckerberg’s own page on the social network is an opportunity to communicate directly with the audience. There is no page, no likes and friends, which means that the promotion of each new project of the company starts from scratch.

But Gameloft is definitely not threatened. According to Pocket Gamer, the company’s Facebook page has crossed the threshold of 10 million likes. It took the French 10 months to collect the last 3 million.

The numbers are significant. And it is clear that the company’s Facebook subscribers will know about any update or new game right away. Considering that not only screenshots and press releases can be posted in the news, but also links to game pages, it is clear that Gameloft has direct benefits from the social network. Another thing is that it is unknown what kind of conversion the page has, speaking about downloads.

In any case, the French publisher does not skimp on costs. Currently, 37 local versions of the company’s official Facebook page are maintained by 42 managers in 16 languages.

For comparison, Rovio has more than 93 thousand likes, Zynga – almost 3.4 million, Supercell – 9 thousand.
