Android Fragmentation Problem Called "Overblown"
According to Google Ventures partner and Android co-founder Rich Miner, there is no such problem as fragmentation for the average user.
At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology forum, Miner called the fuss around her “overblown.”As reported by Xconomy,
Moreover, the Miner believes that fragmentation will always be the least of the problems. And it does not interfere with the growth of the popularity of Google’s OS. “Don’t forget that 1.5 million Android devices are activated daily. There are already more than 900 million of them on the market,” he said.
Google has made every effort to deal with this issue. And apparently, the company is on the way to success. According to recently published statistics, one of the latest versions of Android – Jelly Bean 4.1 is now on 37.9% of devices. This means that the new OS version has finally overtaken Android 2.3 Gingerbread in popularity. It is now 34.1% of devices.
