NativeX: users are spending more and more time on mobile games
The mobile marketing company NativeX has calculated the average duration of a gaming session on mobile devices. According to their calculations, it is now 3 minutes 37 seconds.
In general, the behavior of mobile device users has changed significantly recently. If in July-September 2012, one gaming session took an average of 1 minute 27 seconds for users, then according to the results of the first quarter of 2013, it already lasts 3 minutes 37 seconds.
The increase is significant, almost twofold. NativeX believes that the reason for this was the achievement of the “maturity” of the mobile games market, the emergence of the best freemium models and the growth in the number of mobile publishers.NativeX specialists also noticed that over the past nine months, the number of users who spend 10 or more minutes per session has doubled.
According to Robert Weber, one of the founders of NativeX, “A growing circle of people who spend more time playing games on their smartphones than ever […], therefore, the average engagement of mobile game users has increased dramatically.”
