Kabam cuts to the quick
Kabam is gaining a foothold in the mobile market, and at the same time carries out serious permutations. The company has already laid off a “small” number of employees. To strengthen the mobile division, they promise to hire about two hundred new ones.
Kabam is developing rapidly, and its profit for 2013 is expected to be about $300 million. This is 66% more than last year. The latest mobile game of Fast & Furious 6 has gained 17 million downloads in a month (we will publish detailed material about this within an hour). This did not prevent the company from refusing to support old projects and the people who were engaged in them.
According to Steve Swasey, Vice President of Human Resources Management, the future of Kabam is connected with mobile games. It was in connection with such a shift in “accents” that some employees had to part with, despite the fact that the company sought to keep everyone.
Now Kabam employs about 700 people, after the reorganization their number may grow to 900.
