Skillz "raised" investments by $4 million
Investors have invested $4 million in the Skillz platform, which allows playing non-gambling games for real money.
Among those who believed in the bright future of PvP-multiplayer for real money, which, in fact, is the idea of Skillz, are Atlas Venture, Nextview Ventures, as well as former IGN executive director Mark Young (Mark Jung).
All of them, apparently, were impressed by the data of the Skillz study, according to which “41% of users want to compete with each other for real money on their smartphones,” as well as Glu Mobile’s plans to introduce the platform into their games.
