New Frontiers of Metaio

The Munich-based company Metaio, which develops software related to "augmented reality" (AR), announced that 50,000 developers are now using its platform, and the number of applications based on it has exceeded 1,000.

AR solutions offered by Metaio are gaining popularity rapidly. Just a year ago, the number of SDK downloads was 10,000, and now it's been adopted by five times as many developers, as mentioned above.

The company marked these new milestones with the release of updates to the Metaio SDK and the Metaio Creator service. In addition, they announced a competition where the winners will receive licenses for their software and will be invited to the InsideAR 2013 conference in Munich, where they will have the opportunity to present their developments.
