Anipang earns $500k a day

The authors of the project from SundayToz stated that the daily revenue of their mobile game is about half a million dollars.

Anipang is a traditional match3 game. The user’s task is to collect the maximum number of points in one minute.

The game is closely integrated with the Kakao platform, extremely popular in South Korea, and the KakaoTalk mobile messenger. Actually, the viral mechanics of the game are largely based on them.

Using KakaoTalk, a player can send a “heart” to another user. If a person who has not previously downloaded Anipang clicks on the “heart”, he is directed to the application page.

In the game, “hearts” play the same role as in Diamond Dash: they allow you to spend more gaming sessions than “it should”. You can not only get a “heart” from a friend, but also buy it for money. This, in fact, is the basis for monetization.

At the moment, the number of downloads of the game is 25 million (most of them are from Korea), the project’s MAU is 20 million, its retention rate is 60%. Anipang was released in July last year.

P.S.

It seems, given also the huge success of Candy Crush Saga and Puzzle & Dragons, we are witnessing the revival of the Match 3 genre. The question is how long it will be popular.
