Developers prefer "mobile"
A survey conducted by the organizers of the largest conference among game developers GDC showed that more than half of them are currently engaged in mobile projects for smartphones and tablets.
A total of 2.5 thousand people were interviewed. It turned out that 55% of respondents are already developing games for mobile platforms, and 48% are engaged in projects for PC/Mac. Products for home consoles are less popular – Xbox 360 was mentioned by 13.2% of survey participants, and PS3 – by 13%. Only 4.2% of respondents sculpt toys for Wii U. Well, portable consoles complete the list – 4.2% for the PS Vita and 2% for the Nintendo 3DS. It should also be noted that 53% of respondents classified themselves as “indie”.
