Com2uS revenues fell at Christmas

The “festive” quarter (October-December) is considered the most profitable, however, for Koreans from Com2uS, it turned out, as for Glu, to be far from the most successful in 2012.

South Korean publisher and mobile game developer Com2uS reported revenue of $19.5 million and revenue of $2.8 million in the 4th quarter of 2012. Both indicators fell compared to the 3rd quarter of last year: revenue by 5%, revenue by 60%.

As in Glu Mobile, Koreans attribute this drop to the postponement of a number of releases to a later date. In any case, the decline in the publisher’s performance during the Christmas period seems somewhat strange.

However, in annual terms, Com2uS indicators have grown significantly: by 89% revenue and by 145% revenue. Yes, in 2012, most of the revenue (64%) came from the company’s home market. Com2uS earned $45.1 million on it. This is 163% more than a year earlier.

In 2013, the company plans to earn $93.3 million. This is 32% more than the $70.6 million in revenue received at the end of 2012. Revenue, according to the forecast, will be $22.1 million (last year it was $18.8 million).

Com2uS also plans to release about 50 projects (33 of which are domestic) and expand its expansion into the American, Japanese and Chinese markets.

In the Western market, Com2uS has not yet become very familiar. Her most famous projects here are the platformer Third Blade and Tower Defense (yes, that’s what the game is called).
