There will be asynchronous multiplayer in Real Racing 3

FireMonkeys has announced the introduction of an improved “ghost mode” in its yet-to-be-released project. Now it will be possible to compete on the track independently with record results of the standings.

If Real Racing 3 were a console game, it could probably be called a project directly selling its platform. For the sake of Halo and Gears of War, they bought Xbox 360, for the sake of Final Fantasy and Heavy Rain – PlayStation 3. A similar game, if you go back to iOS, at one time, for Apple was Infinity Blade. And its place will soon be taken by Real Racing 3, a project designed to demonstrate the full technological power of the latest “apple” devices.

One of the last announced chips of the game was asynchronous multiplayer, which the developers demonstrated in their latest diary.

What is his trick?

In many racing and not only games, there is an opportunity to compete with, conditionally, ghosts: you are trying to surpass either your own or someone else’s result of passing the track, seeing in real time how you / your friend passed the same track before you.

The authors of Real Racing 3 have improved this mode. Now, independently passing the track, you can interact with the cars of your friends (and indeed any players) who have already passed it before you.

The feature was most likely invented in conjunction with Apple, which is now actively promoting a number of features among mobile developers, including the original Ghost Mode.

The creation of Real Racing 3, which was announced back in September 2012, is being handled by the same team that worked on the previous games in the series – the Australian FireMint, which merged with IronMonkey last summer and changed its name to FireMonkeys. After the merger, the studio has already managed to mark itself with a chic mobile version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted. The publisher of Real Racing 3 is EA.
