XAPPR Gun – a gun for mobile devices

Even the NES had its own gun. With it, we used to shoot ducks. Twenty years have passed. Now, as it turns out, mobile gamers can also get their hands on a gaming gun.

The exotic device for smartphones is called the XAPPR Gun. It is primarily designed for use in "augmented reality" games (these are games where monsters or other objects are placed on the real background—similar to AR Dead Raid).

The gun is priced at $59.99. The device can work with iPhone, as well as certain Android and Windows Phone devices. Essentially, it is a kind of dock station designed as a gun. By downloading a special app, users can stay informed about which games available in the respective store support the device. However, there aren't too many of these apps yet. For example, in the UK App Store, there are no more than ten.
