Sergey Orlovsky joined the Board of Directors of Alawar

As they say, they did not wait. The founder and CEO of Nival Sergey Orlovsky became one of the directors of Alexander Lyskovsky’s company – Alawar, reports CNews.

One can only guess about the specific reasons for Orlovsky’s inclusion in the council. It seems to us that this is due to the failures of Nival in the mobile sphere. Of the three iOS projects released by the company, only King’s Bounty: Legions showed itself worthily. As for the strong Prime World: Alchemy and Emaki Free, they went unnoticed. Alawar, in turn, is more successful in the mobile segment. So, it is quite possible that in the near future Nival will try to enter the market of applications for smartphones and tablets with the support of the Novosibirsk team. Or, alternatively, entrust her with the development of casual projects “based on” her large-scale PC game Prime World.

However, all this is nothing more than speculation. Moreover, Lyskovsky himself told our colleagues from CNews that Sergey Orlovsky’s experience “will help Alawar move to the next level of development,” and not vice versa. And if Alawar is preparing to create a large f2p project with a PvP component, Orlovsky, behind whom the launch of Allods Online, Heroes of Might &Magic 5 and the already mentioned Prime World is a very right choice.

However, we are tormented by the following question: will this be followed by the merger of Alawar and Nival?
