NimbleBit is making a role-playing game

The brothers Ian and David Marsh, creators of Tiny Tower and Pocket Planes, are working on a mix of Snake and role-playing game under the straightforward title Nimble Quest.

According to the description on Touch Arcade, the player will control a group of adventurers wandering through dungeons and battling monsters. The key difference from classic role-playing games is the casual style of gameplay.

Here's how it will look: a group of heroes lines up like a train and moves continuously. The player can change the group's direction with a swipe. The task is to fight through numerous enemies, collecting as many bonuses as possible, to reach the next level.

To me, it strongly resembles Snake. It's unknown whether there will be any penalties for colliding with walls. The screenshots show that each hero will have a life bar (as will the monsters). Apparently, one will need to maneuver and look for items that restore life.

Multiplayer is also planned for the game.

The exact release date and platforms for Nimble Quest are unknown.
