Apple has released iOS 6.1
Less than half a year has passed, and after as many as five beta versions, a full-fledged iOS 6.1 update appeared. There were no surprises and radical changes.
The update added support for new LTE network operators (there are no domestic ones) and the ability to buy movie tickets via Fandango using Siri (only for US citizens). Plus all sorts of little things, like downloading songs from iCloud separately.
Happy and not so happy owners of iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S and 5, iPad tablets of the second, third and fourth generations, iPod Touch players of the fourth and fifth generations, as well as an Apple TV set-top box can install iOS 6.1.
At the moment, iOS 6 costs 300 million devices. This is slightly more than half of all iOS gadgets.
Yes, simultaneously with the release of iOS 6.1, Apple announced that there are already 800 thousand applications in the App Store. This is 25 thousand more than three weeks ago.
